APPLEBY WESTWARD ACQUIRES FOURTH COMPANY OWNED STORE

Appleby Westward has completed the acquisition of the former Woolworth store in East Street, Bridport in the latest move by the company’s newly formed retail stores division.

The store, which is marginally over 3,000 sq. ft., will be developed as a SPAR convenience store with a strong food-to-go offer, a cafe area, and a heavy emphasis on chilled and fresh products.

The store is the fourth acquisition made by Appleby Westward in recent weeks as it grows its retail stores division under Paul Asensio. The company recently acquired three former Somerfield outlets in Keynsham, Liskeard and Minehead which are currently undergoing major transformations into new EUROSPAR stores
