"The Payroll department not only deal with the on-going payroll processing of the Appleby Westward staff," (says Claire Parkin, Appleby Westward's Payroll Co-ordinator) they also work with a large number of our retailers who outsource their payroll to Appleby Westward'.
Appleby Westward is based in Saltash, Cornwall and is nearly 100,000 sq ft. All ambient goods are distributed from this depot via the company’s modern fleet of 17 HGV vehicles. These vehicles each drive on average 2 – 2,500 miles a week.
The centre operates a two shift system which runs from 6am until 10pm, six and half days a week. 129,000 packs are assembled on average each week.

Our Multi-temperature depot is based Cullompton, Devon and is a 26,500 sq. ft. chilled and frozen food centre. All Chilled and frozen goods are assembled and distributed from here via 11 multi-temperature 26 tonne urban articulated vehicles and 7 multi-temperature 18 tonne rigid vehicles. All orders are distributed from this depot, direct to the customer. Ambient deliveries to the far East of the Wessex region are also delivered from this depot.
